I'm watching but not listening. Do we know how much it weighs? Or power?

Love everything but the greenhouse. Looks like Mom stepped on my Hotwheels Z and crushed the roof.

Did he just say "six-speed manual transmission?"

It's low but I think I'm digging it. I like the blacked-out bubbletop look.

It's not that I didn't like the previous 370 or 350, but they were very "middle" cars. Not burly V8's but not light Miatas. It's hard to get excited about the middle.

Great lines overall.. but the front grille is almost too square? like it feels lazy.. it's certainly functional.. just the first thought to come to mind

First thoughts.... Do something with the hood and fenders to make it less of a p***s car. We've all seen the Family Guy bit, we don't need to drive it. I was looking at an Imgur post juxtaposing an old and new mustang and one of the first things I noticed was just how bloated a new mustang looks. The second was that the hood doesn't slope down until really far forward, which exacerbates something in the styling that just makes me twinge. It's far too late to change anything with this but if I could I would ask the design team to fix the hood and add something to look at, lest it be like the Challenger that still looks unfinished.

I like the rear view more than the front:

I like the front more than the rear, that tail end is just yuck. I don't know what it is but, instinctively, I want no part of it. It looks like a 4door Porsche got busy with a Tesla and that's what crawled out of the muck. In all seriousness, that rear styling is enough to turn me off of the car.

There is some contouring that I hadn't seen at first, they could have chosen a better paintjob to show that off...

I'm not sure on the grill either but I likey.  They are set on the manual tranny.

Greenhouse is too small and too short lengthwise, but I suspect it will be fine in real life.

The presentation is kinda cool. Adam Carolla is at Z Con tonight and discussing his Z background along with questions and discussions.

I'm the other way round on front vs rear... They must've hit the middle ground?

I think the greenhouse looks low, but the real question is how well it works from the inside outward... It looks just a bit out of proportion to the rest of the car in side view. Like a customizer chopped it when they should've left it alone.

I actually quite like the way the hood dives sharply ahead of what one hopes is a bulge for engine bits.

Curious about weight. I'm glad they're talking a lot about experience as opposed to numbers, but curious about how that shows up in the car.

The front makes me uncomfortable, but I'm not sure why. It's somehow too organic and too sharp at the same time.

I dig the rest of the car though.

I like it, but it's probably too much heavier than the Miata and Toyobarus for my tastes.

I feel like they did a decent job hitting the retro design cue. I worry that it's going to be like 3700 lbs. Manual with 400 horsepower VR30 should be plenty fast. But it would be nice if they focus more on getting it light and nimble.

I wish the front end had more character than just, "Our grille is a perfect rectangle!".  It really has the potential to be sharp looking, but it appears a bit "overstuffed" or swollen.

The interior is beautiful.  I would love to find a way to make it all fit in an original 240/260/280Z.

EDIT: Trying to expand a bit, I think if you shrink the height of the grille, move it down a bit (extending the hood forward and down), and add some character lines it would work nicely.  Like the original 240Z, where the body rolls inward and down a bit from the fenders right above the headlights to the hood:

If only the cabin was larger than a full-face helmet.

It's a low-poly 240Z

I'm not excited, but I'm sure some will be.

I hope it's successful for them.  Nissan needs a good win that isn't some soul-crushing CVT-equipped crossover that gets lost among every other crossover in the market.

OK I am slow. This is a prototype not a product release?  Do folks remember the IDK? Call me back when this is ever actually on sale.
