Hope it all works out.....these are two decent tracks (and the karting is neat too).

My ~most recent run~ at NJMP.

This is a VRG vintage event on Lightning.

~Here~ is Thunderbolt in my old NASA car two years ago.

We had a fairly long discussion about this at our SCCA region meeting this evening. While not a good situation, the situation could be much worse. The major creditor (Merrill Lynch) is reducing the debt it holds from $30 million to $20 million (writing off 33% of what they are owed). Other large creditors (like the catering and E.V. providers) are not going to have to write off anything. No staff is being laid off.

The plan is to have the track exit the bankruptcy process before Labor Day this year.

The bottom line is the track will be operating in full this season and the planned events we have and that other clubs have will be held as planned. The worst thing that could happen is that people stay away because of fear that the track will fold. The best thing we as a community can do is to hold and attend the events as planned.

As a result NJMP should emerge from the process with a manageable debt load and less ambitious plans (like hotels, condos and such).

Maybe this will also wake up the management that they need to treat their customers (and their customers' customers) better.

Again the best thing to do is to do the events we have planned and hope it works out for next year. This year should happen as scheduled.
