I'm thinking about camping at New Jersey Motorsports Park for the Grand-Am weekend there. Never been to that track before and am looking to hear what its like.

They said the tent camping section is somewhere along the front straight, but I can't find any photos or maps that place the area exactly. I do like track campsites that are at least a little bit scenic. I don't have to be tucked in the woods out of sight of my neighbors, but if I'm going to be in a dusty field surrounded by running rv generators, I'll just get a hotel.

So anyone have any insight on what its like there? What about the rest of the weekend? Any tips?

NJMP does not have a lot of scenery - it is basically a parking lot. There are showers in the officer's club and the paddock (you probably won;t be able to use those).

No open fires are allowed.

Electricity is available when I trailer camp in the paddock but I do not know if it is the same out in the spectator lots.
