So The last step in hacking the only reason for having an Olds Bravada out of my Olds Bravada is the bolt connecting the passenger side front diff bracket to the frame. It goes through the the bracket and has a nut on the inside of a boxed section of the frame rail. There's a hole right under the bolt but no wrench I've found that would fit on the nut fits through the hole. I considered grinding a wrench down to where it would fit, but then I worry about what's left of the wrench failing when I try to break the probably not cooperative bolt loose.
The obvious answer is cutting the bolt head off, but if anybody knows a better answer, I'd really appreciate it.
shove the tip of a welder or stick electrode in the hole and tack the nut?

X2. I'd be cutting it off but you asked for another way. You might need to enlarge that frame drain hole beneath it though.
Cutting it off still seems like what's going to happen. I already did it on the driver's side mount which had the same problem. Might look into how feasible tacking the nut the frame is though.
How about drilling it out and then welding a nut to a piece of steel plate and then welding the plate over the hole you created.... or some variation of that. I'm a big fan of making my own captive nuts in the race cars I build. Nothing worse than trying to get 2 box wrenches on a nut and bolt when your in a hurry, especially if said thru bolt passes thru a firewall. Who was the idiot that thought a thru bolt holding a master cylinder to a firewall was a good idea??
Once this bolt is out, I don't need anything to go back in there. I want this bracket gone because it's no longer needed and getting rid of it makes more room for putting the engine in.
