The Vorshlag 2011 Challenge E30 (which they sold last summer) seems to have been involved in some sort of transporter fire.

The VAG product above it probably caused the fire......
In all seriousness, looks like a brake or tire failure on the trailer....and that just sucks
I dunno - if you look at the area where the rear tire is missing, look at the stuff behind it and the hub and there's no fire damage.....which makes me think that the e30 itself caught on fire first somehow (fuel leak, battery short, who knows...), and then the fire spread upward to the other cars. or something farther forward on the truck started the fire, not the rear wheels/brakes.
It would be difficult for the cars on top to catch fire and then burn down to the e30. Also notable in other photos (not posted here) is that only the back of the truck's cab appears to be burned....
That, or it started in that "box" forward of the truck's rear wheels. No idea what's in there though (fuel tank?)

Gasoline still obeys the law of gravity.. I'm just sayin'.
Overall :(
Brakes overheat, tire burns, lights puddle of leaking fuel from $2012 race car and whoosh. No side curtains.
Looks like a Meritor wheel end caught the tire on fire and so forth.
You see this happen a lot with the car haulers, they have a recall for the recall its soo bad, but thats on the car hauler TRAILERS.
You can still see the 2 crescent moons on the axle shafts, eaton/danas have some weird diamond shape
I was disappointed to see this, I followed Terry's (Fair's) build thread for this on a daily basis. A lot of thought, blood, and effort went into making this car, and it's sad to see it like this.
This makes me want to cry. What a shame. I'd love to see someone rebuild it but that probably won't happen.

An RS4 Avant, even more rare.
