In less than a week, I have seen several 940 turbo wagons, a black one just like mine, a green one and today I saw what I think was a beige one doing a burnout in Florence Kentucky.... Geez, and I thought I had the only one around... Weird.

lol... i've seen a few poking around recently... also noticed that 2 of my cup holder flip out bits (940 cup holder style) went missing a little while back... being that they aren't on the floor/under the seat and the clips aren't broken I only can assume someone stole em...

sux... but least they didn't brake anything and I can snag a set while i'm at the JY next time lol

I guess now that I think about it, I noticed this also when living in the Lexington area. But I did not notice it as being unusual because where I came from (S.E. Missouri) they were equally as common.

940's aren't that common up here, at least they weren't till recently. I have always been on the look out for them even before I got mine, its odd to see so many, in such a short time, in a small geographic area (15 miles). Mine and the others like it are now 20 year old vehicles afterall.

if you've got the "fat" center console then yes... although it's common for them to be broken (as per my finding in the JY) note that the pic is not of a 700/900... but the cup holder is :)...

I have one of those exact same seats re-purposed as an office chair. Someday I might even feed it 12V for the seat heater.

Re: cupholders -- if you need them and your car has an unused DIN slot with nothing in the way below, check out the DIN-sized cupholder found in old Tauruses.

It looks like this (though, note that fitment doesn't work in this example -- too close to the steering wheel):

Another option (from VW parts seller gowesty.com):

Any car sold in Northern Kentucky had the optional cupholder., Much like the Alabama Edition IsuzuTwooper.

many of the Turbo bricks use Volvo's "530" type head in almost all applications. I was pointing out the failure point (combustion chamber between the valves) of the "530" head. Be careful when inspecting to buy to check if it has overheated.
