I bought an 06 Mustang convertible a few months ago and not long afterwards I decided that the " rake " or the " stance " of this car is a tiny bit more than I like.

Yeah, it's just a visual thing, but whenever I walk up to this car in a parking lot it just seems to sit a bit too low in the front.

The car has the V6 and my first thought was to go with front springs from a V8.  However, on this, or forums elsewhere, I thought that I read that the V8 springs might actually have an opposite effect.

I haven't actually measured the clearance around the top of the tires, but it sure looks like the fronts have less clearance than the backs...perhaps as some kind of weird compensation for removal of the hardtop?

Maybe it's just the convertible, my '07 V6 didn't really have any rake to it.   This is a picture with stock springs vs the Ford Racing K springs.

That WHOLE CAR looks great.  And I'm not even a fan of Mustangs for the most part.

Not huge fan of Fords in general, but your Mustang looks razor sharp.

My '06 convertible sat just right with the stock springs:

Looking at the rockers, it sat pretty level.

My 05 had just a touch of rake but it didn't bother me. Most of the aftermarket lowering spring sets actually drop the rears just a little more to eliminate it, usually about 1/2" from what I can tell.

I should have looked at aftermarket first, I guess.  When I went to STEEDA's website I noticed the same thing you found: that aftermarket spring " kits " lower the REAR more than the front.

I can't tell for sure, because it's a black car, but I THINK I see a bit less gap between the sheet metal and the tire on Patient Zero's car.

My car is a " ruby " red, with gold side stripe, so the gap (at least to me) is more noticeable.

Another thing I found out, is that Rock Auto and Parts Geek list the same MOOG part numbers for V6 and V8 front springs.

Sometimes after market replacement parts are " one size fits all"  they will sell you the same struts for a V6 Camaro as a SS V8.
