dang I paid almost twice that for my 88 M5 and this pops up three months later? with me working one block over from Taliaferro Saab? Good thing it's in SC, when I saw Columbia I was thinking good old MO. Otherwise I'd be unhappy. ;)

man i hated the cowl shake of the last one of those i drove. heck of an engine though. makes me want it to swap in a stock engine and build something mean around that engine.

are there any rwd transmissions that fit behind the transverse saab stuff?

talk about a flexiflyer... but I bet it would be a torque steering good time

Yes, there are; I just cannot which ones right at the moment...

At the lemons race in CT this summer I saw a first gen 300zx with a SAAB 2.3 turbo motor running north / south. I do remember that he was running SAAB T5 electronics, but cannot remember much about the trans...

I'm a noob when it comes to swap stuff, but could you take that engine/trans, flip it around and use it in a mid-engine/rear engine chassis?

1997 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible Tuned for E85, fully customizable, can convert back to regular gas, will put down a little less torque and hp (40-50)... Motor is fresh with all new gaskets, bearing, seals, ARP studs, Forged Wossner pistons, 2.3 crank and rods. Comes with a spare transmission as well as stock height springs. Koni adjustables on all 4 corners, poly bushings. Fresh Holset HX35 turbo. Full 3" exhaust, Tial 44mmEWG, twin Forge BOV's. Wideband AFR, Boost, Oil Pressure and Temp gauges. Car is very fast.... she's not perfect, and not a toy, not a car for kids.... but the price is more than reasonable...... Wheels pictured in the 3rd and 4th pics below will not come with the car if the price is negotiated down a little...it will come with the stock wheels with good tires in the top pic. Considering trades..

Oh my. Those things were known for crazy torque steer in stock form. I can only imagine hitting the boost in that thing. Hope there's nobody in the lane next to you...or next to that one...or next to that one...or....

Wrong gen car. The classic 900s have that rep not the ng/9-3 ones.
