There's another GRM thread floating around about the death of the G8:

http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/fritz-flops-for-sake-of-feasability-gm-rwd-gets-du/11180/page1/

but now there is a rumor that it may be re-badged after all. Good news but who could have guessed that GM would change it's mind? They never make mistakes.

Here's the link to Jalopnik:

Now all the P71 guys can look forward to new 9C1 packages! Will that add a new answer to the what car question?

That is hilarious. The Pontiac G8 is already a rebadge!

Yea from another freakin' country. If they sold Holden's here it wouldn't be a re-badge now would it?

Sheesh bird-little bit harsh! Fritz claimed he doesn't like rebadges when his company rebadges everything (including holdens). Now to show how much he REALLY hates rebadges, his company is rebadging a rebadge.

If GMC, it would need to be called the Caballero, Not Denali ST.

I'll believe it when I see it on dealer lots.

I hope they do this, though I'd prefer they dropped that POS FWD travesty they call an Impala and use the G8 for that instead.

I actually kinda like that El Camino thing. And I was never a big fan of it the first time around.

the aussie mullet crowd loves those things and not being harsh just proving a point! It would be interesting to see that as a Caprice, I'm sure law enforcement agencies would buy into the V6 models and pull you over for doing 87 in a 55 when you are behind a Mitsubishi Lancer 04 doing 25mph on an off ramp which is listed to be 35mph speed limit.
