That thread just consumed way too much time of my life.
Tons of British slang...so he is going to build his own ITB set-up with carbon-fiber plenum and runners, with homemade throttle bodies and everything, plus now he's fabbing up a homemade dry-sump set-up? And building from scratch what appears to be some sort of metalworking machine?
Is it the water over there?!

+1, I just read the whole thing.
He intends to make his own 16V head, too . (Be interesting to see how it differs from VW's 16v head.)
The whole project is mind-boggling-ly cool.

It is some fantastic metal work I'll give him that. the thing must weigh a ton... I mean.. you can hit that thing with a bus and it'll stay within a few tenths of what you set it.

Have you ever seen a full size bridgeport or southbend mill or lathe? most of them require a good sized forklift or more to move. His little mill hes making is probably on the lighter side of some of the milling machines Ive seen before.
