Saw those...that first one needs to be looked at.
1) way cool, and for $1500 I'd probably buy it....but 2) somebody bought a Samurai to tow a trailer?!? WTF?

It's still in the garage until this weekend. He put down some cash and will come back. Part of me hopes something happens and he doesn't get it. Its actually going to Akron.

That is too cool for school...just wanted to say that. That is neat. Those and the Trackers are big in Kentucky for hunters, according to my cousin. How would the short wheelbase be in the winter?
In reply to Fletch1:
Still in your garage? Well, then you shouldn't have any trouble righting your obvious wrong! Crap. Your car was my backup plan. I've purchased my plane ticket and made my hotel reservations. I'm headed to Orlando on Friday and hope to pick up my "new" CRX and drive it back to Ohio over the weekend. But if I don't buy it, I was hoping to stop and look at yours. Oh well, day late, dollar short, or whatever they say.
In reply to bravenrace:
I was hoping you would get it. I didn't think you were too serious. Is this an Si?

Dual solid axle on a short wheel base should be everything you imagined it would be; bouncy, harsh, rough, tippy, crude but it is also each one of the qualities that makes it so interesting.
In reply to Fletch1:
Yeah. A black '88. It's an original family (two owner) car with original paint. It has some mods, like a header, performance exhaust, poly bushings, shocks, springs, tires, wheels, but is unmolested and in great shape, so I'm told. I'm hoping for the best. I've never gone to this trouble for any car, so I guess we'll see.

That would be cool, but I think I would feel safer with a Subaru. Now, I just have to find one.

First one sounds good.
Second one is about $2k too much

Yes, you will.

This one is in my neighborhood if you want me to pre-check it?

I think I'm gonna stick with an Impreza, unless I can be talked into something that would be even better for a daily winter driver. I've heard the 2.2L have less problems than the 2.5L?
Auto? Really? I think the Impreza wagons are cool, WRX or not. I have a friend with one like the one in your link, and my nephew has an '08 hatch back/wagon. They obviously aren't as fast as a WRX, but they are still nice cars that are fun to drive...But not with an automatic.
