So here's the deal... About a year and a half ago, I began "Project Atomic Hairball", which started out as a simple "freshening" of a '94 Miata with an older FM III turbo system.
Once underway, crappy workmanship by the previous owner, combined with a serious case of "project-creep", turned the project into ALOT more work than I envisioned. Now, essentially everything under the hood is new, including an FM II system.
Everything is pretty much done, except for installing the Hydra Nemesis stand-alone ECU. This is where I need help.
First, I've never dealt with stand-alones before, so I'm kinda in over my head here. Plus, I hate dealing with electrical crap.
On top of that, at this point in time, I have ZERO desire to work on vehicles.
I spend 60 hours a week putting vehicles together for a living, so all I can bring myself to do with the Miata is look at all the shiny things under the hood while drinking beer.
So, to make a long story longer, is there any of you around the Toledo area who knows what they're doing, and would be willing to finish my car for me?
Cash, beer and kittens to anyone willing to help!!!
Thanx,
Will

For ECU install, I am not your man.
The stare at shinny parts while drinking beer really falls into my "wheelhouse" so I will happily assist there. As a bonus I will graciously add a constant stream of off-color jokes while questioning and second guessing all the efforts of those actually installing ECU.
I want those skills, does that count?
Harder than drinking beer while staring at the shiny things and telling off-color jokes, for sure.
It's not so much the degree of difficulty that has stalled the project. I'm sure I could figure it out.
My problem is the fact that I'm burnt-out. Six days a week, I get home from work at 3:30 a.m. I have a couple hours for my "evening", then go to bed to do it all again the next day. By the time I get all my necessary stuff done on Sunday, I'm done. I have zero motivation left for wrenching.
Basically, I have no time for the journey, I just need to arrive at my destination.
I won't have any more vacation time at work until May 1st, and I'm hoping to somehow have the engine running, broken-in, and ready for the track by then.
At which point, I will have everyone up to drink beer and stare, but no one will have to work on it.
If I had a way to get up there I would help out but that doesn't seem promising right now.
