Moved the air cleaner out the way for a better angle and it popped right off. But... The valve is working fine, I can only blow through it in the direction of the intake. So I am guessing my booster has a slow leak. Any ideas on how to verify this?

Hook a handheld vacuum pump w/ gauge up to the hose leading to the booster, apply vacuum, watch gauge.
start the car and let it build vacuum- should only take a few seconds. shut it off..
wait a few minutes
pop that check valve out of the grommet- there should still be vacuum there and you will hear the air rush in.. if it's still got vacuum, then do it again and wait longer to pop it out- like an hour or so.. if everything's working right, it will hold vacuum for a long time.
