1967 Datsun 1600 - 100% stock and rustvfree. It was the only convertible I have ever owned.

1994 S10 4x4 Blazer Red. I ordered this from the factory and kept it for 10 years. A lot of family road trips and camping. Maybe the memories are what I miss?

'88 CRX - wouldn't want it back. My first car but it left with the rear wheels mostly detached after the suspension mounts tore out. No good metal left anywhere in that car.

'93 Pontiac Sunbird - If that car ever shows up in my driveway again I will commit acts of pyrotechnic violence to get rid of it. Fortunately I think the transmission did a Chernobyl a week after I sold it.

'94 Miata - if only my FWD-specialist brother hadn't crashed it, I could've keep the rust at bay for another winter or two.

I get very attached. I've got friends who change cars like clothes. Aside from the Escape my wife just bought, I haven't bought a car in almost six years. Back about a year ago my dad was involved in an accident, totaled out his 1997 Dodge Ram. Was the truck driveable? Yeah. Was it fixable? Maybe. The transmission was starting to slip, the master cylinder was starting to leakdown, and the truck was going to need work before too long. Financially it wasn't sound to keep it.

Watching that thing drive away on a rollback, I cried like a baby, and it wasn't even my truck!

I did, however, learn to drive in that truck. It had flowmasters, it was loud, it was rattly and it smelled like cat piss at first (which is why pops got it so cheap.) Even though I didn't drive it every day, it still meant a lot to me.

I've put almost 100K miles on my Sentra, and I still love it. I've kept my Camaro, since it was my first car and EVERYBODY around here (my peers, anyway) remember that car. If I see someone I haven't seen in awhile, the conversation usually goes like this.

"Hey man, what's up! How ya been? Still got that camaro?"

Then some people try to buy it from me, still. January 31st 2004 I (mom and dad) bought that car.

I'm gonna go love on it now.

I'm going to be selling my 9C1 soon. It just to rotted to be worth keeping. I'm sure I'll cry a little when she' gone. It'll feel like I just sold my dog.

The only one i was really sad to see go was a 1986 GLHS I just sold.

I asked just above what I thought it was worth figuring I would get talked down.. telling myself i would let it go for less than I was asking simply because I wasn't sure I wanted to sell it...

The buyer took it around the block.. and offered me asking price... Heck I almost didn't take it..

Then the guy has had one problem after another.. I didn't drive it much.. and it had some known issues.. and I have helped the guy through all of them.. He still really likes the car.. during all of that I kept thinking I should just give the man his money back... You know.. This was the car I kept thinking I really shouldn't have sold... but he didn't want the money...

Then I threw some of the money into the savings account.. and I really liked that.. The rest went into my toy fund.. and I have been scoring deals on tools left and right...

Oh... and tonight.. I am going to pick up a 1987 GLHS which is in at least as good of shape as the car I sold.. It just has some mechanical issues which are cheap and easy to fix.. and I won't even have spent all of the cash which went into the toy fund..

Yeah.. uuhhh I can't say I miss the car anymore.

I usually get attached to all of my cars. Most of them I wish I still had for some reason or another. I know I'll regret selling my truck although I know it'll be for the best. If I had more room, I'd really be in trouble...

I was not too sad when I found out the guy I sold my rusted hulk of a 89 cougar to used it in a demolition derby...at least she had fun on the way out.

I was not sad when I took apart my POS Cavalier as a donor car for my brother to use to keep his better condition, younger model on the road.

I was not sad when my 95 corolla was sold to a certified Toyota Master Tech, who manages a toyota dealership maintenance garage, who put about $500 and about 50 hours of time in his time off, and now has a like new corolla with a minty fresh (to it) 7afe, 5 speed, an ebay header, Fidanza clutch and flywheel, all brand new OEM suspension/brakes/fuel system, and some decently light 16" wheels, for under $900 all in (not counting what he wouldve billed to do that overhaul)

So Ive been lucky that all 3 of my former cars left me for something better...but I do get attached to cars. Ive got a feeling that my first real project car (Im hoping one day to build a boosted S10 Auto-xer) will likely stay with me forever - never understood the build-and-sell kinda thing - I know I will want to enjoy the fruits of my labor down the road.

I cried when Dad's Austin Healey rolled away on a trailer. December 23 or 24, 1996. I was 6 years old. I still miss that one.

I miss the 9-5, but there was nothing particularly special about it. I think I'll always miss it.

I'll probably lose sleep when Dad sells the 318 vert', but won't regret it. Cry? Probably.

I don't ever see myself regretting getting rid of the Miata, but I'll be sad for sure. The only way it will be going away is if it is replaced with an S2000 or something else better.

Of all the cars I have had the only one I miss is the 81 GTV-6 that was sold to someone here. With 3 kids, one income and no place to store it inside I could not hold on to it but it was very hard.

I also get very attached to most of my cars. The ones I really regret ditching are my 2002 WRX, My 1987 Mercury Cougar XR7, and my 1964 Buick Skylark 2dr hard top. I also had a nice 1989 Maxima SE that was taken away from me in an accident.

The WRX was a good car, but I was afraid that something bad was going to happen to it after 50,000+ miles of running elevated boost levels and other modifications. I should have kept it, especially now knowing how much of a disappointment my 2009 WRX was.

The other two were cars I had in high school, and I had big plans for them. The Cougar, being a Fox-chassis car, would have been an alternative to the Mustangs I used to always see running around. It had a 5.0 and was in decent shape, but I needed to choose between that and a more reliable daily driver to get me to college every day.

The Buick was really cool and was the 1st car I drove. It had the old "Fireball" 225 V6, the grandfather of the later 3.8L V6. I wanted to find a Nailhead and make a cool vintage cruiser. The tin worm got a hold of it before I could fix it all.

My two current projects, my '79 Trans Am and my '87 CSX, will be sticking around for a while. The T/A is like part of the family, and the CSX is like an orphan that found a home at my place. Maybe when it grows up (and grows some floors and rocker panels) it will leave the fold. And I'm having a good relationship with my Mazda3 so far.

One of the saddest day was watching my 96 Civic DX go away on the back of truck after I crashed it. I loved that car and it was my first running car.

Well, three out of the five cars I've ever owned have been junked ('93 SL2, '96 SL2, '93 Maxima). The other one ('97 SC2) was sold to some idiot kid who probably blew up the motor, and had 18 other things wrong with it. The only one I regret getting rid of was my autocrossing Saturn SL2, but it was not street legal (towed everywhere), and was so expensive to keep running, and was not anywhere near competitive. It was really fun though. I don't think I'll get rid of my current DD, I've put way too much blood and sweat (literally) into the thing, and I've been refreshing most of the major systems lately. The only way that thing is leaving is on the back of a flatbed, crumpled in half. So, I guess yes, I get attached to cars. Good way to spend a lot of money

I only miss 1. my 2005 Mazda 3. That car was incredibly rare as it turned out. I knew it too, but the allure of my ms3 was too much to keep the 2005 in the stable, and I pulled the trigger too quick to convince the wife she wanted it.

Also, the Wartburg is for sale, and the Crown is GONE? Damn, I kinda wanted the crown. Probably better for me I never knew.
