So i lost the water pump pulley.

I did the timing belt job about 5k ago. Replaced the water pump at the same time. Did not use locktite in the bolts. Should i have?

It also gnawed up the front civer pretty good, cutting the whole way through on tbe drivers side of the pulley.

Other than just locktite the replacement bolts, what should I be looking for? Seems to run a little odd now. Did not overheat per the gauge. Stayed right where it always reads.

Im thinking that i need to tear the whole qay in and check the belt for damage. Hope not....

What all should i put a close eye on? Is this a common problem, or did i somehow just not get the bolts tight enough 5k ago?

Honestly I'd replace the water pump too. That bearing can't be happy.

I've never locktited those bolts and never had them back out either.

"front civer"? Wazzat?

I didn't Loctite mine when I put it together. No issues. Did you make sure you had everything lined up correctly when you put the belt on?

From what i remember, everything was per spec.

I believe that i probably will change the water pump due to bearing. And the threads dont seem too healthy anymore either.

And damned typo. Front COVER.
