I know we all do this... what' the oddball (for this crowd) auto lust you've got goin' on right now?

For me it's an '05/06 Corolla XRS. 2ZZ-GE, 6-speed, and complete stealth (especially if it was debadged to just look like the 14 billion Corolla Ss I see around here).

I've also been catching myself oogling new Mazda6s and Fusions (!?!).

Is this just me getting old? Why in the hell would I want a FWD sedan?

I share your lust of an 05-06 XRS. Not only would they pretty much be the most awesome DD ever (in my opinion), i also believe they're an "overdog" in the new STF class.

An ST-trim XRS would do nicely as a double edged sword.

Other than that, i want a replica of the Malibu that was in the movie "Drive."

I'm not sure if anything around here is considered odd anymore :)

Aside from Yugo's and Wartburgs I lust to add a late 60s caddy lowrider to the fleet, does that count?

I think it does the caddy counts. In my head, "odd for here" would be something that "normals" would drive. Something not necessarily cheap, not really all that oddball, or not really DIY.

I think that's true. My current lust:

If that is the case, I change my vote to Lambo Murcielago.

The blue one is a René Bonnet/Matra Djet. The first production midengine car.

The second is a Matra Muerna. Midengine as well, but it seats 3! Not in such a neat way as the McLaren F1 though.

What would be oddball here: Lusting for a late model beige Camry automatic on all season tires. Stock except for stick-on portholes, fender vents, truck nutz and 22" chrome wheels.

I'd say if there's not at least one entry for a car in the reader's ride section, that makes it rare around here...

I want an F250 super-duty KingRanch. Because it smells like a saddle shop (Brings back happy childhood memories of growing up around horses).

I would then use my Bucks-Up hauler to tow a crap-can racer

Oh, BTW, I've been growing fond of the 60's & 70's custom vans recently too.

I specifically searched out a 74 REPU many years ago, and also recently a 90 Mitsubishi van. I bought both, do I qualify? I am currently talking with someone in MT about a 73 Mazda 808 wagon.
