i put an lsx in a 90 mclaren turbo grand prix with a thunderbird independent rear end. someone wanted more than me though so i pulled my engine and sold it as a roller
The guys at the Microcar Museum took the "Whatadrag" Hot Wheels car (an Isetta three wheeler with a V8) and built one in real life.
The inspiration:
I wish I had pictures of it, but back in the late 70's I installed an Olds 455 and Toronado transaxle in the back of a 31 Ford pickup.
