Torque Pro does not give me these.
I don't know know of any phone based scanner that does ABS/SRS, but if someone knows of one I'd be very thankful.
I have found that my O'reily's location has a much better "free scanner" service than the others. They have read SRS and ABS codes for me.
I am planning on using Torque Pro with the Active OBD plug in to get some Subaru specific info. Torque Pro will be running on an Android tablet that I also use for navigation.
What are your recommendations for a bluetooth adapter? Prices seem to be all over the place from $3 to $50.
This $13 Bluetooth adapter will work fine. You want this newer small size. The older version (which I have too) is bulky on some car placements. On my Prius the big size is easy to knock loose with my right foot since the plug is over the accelerator peddle. The blue, small size is perfect.
I have one of those mini blue tooth adapters along with Torque app but it does not work with certain cars for some reason. I've used it with success on an E36 M3, '05 Taurus, MKIV Jetta and others. However it never paired itself to a '00 Mustang or an '02 Chrysler minivan, strange. I ended up buying this scanner off eBay for $60 advertised as new and it's worked on everything and anything I hook it up to and does ABS as well. They usually run a coupon for it for $99 but best bet is to look around online and find something used for a deal. I think it's more than good enough for my use (non professionally).
SRS scanners are completely different animals I think, and typically you won't find these 'everyday' readers are able to support SRS systems as far as I know at least.
