Why not? F1 and Indy have always been more cutting edge than most.. I think most people are going to have issues with the more enclosed cockpit than the powertrain

Seems reasonable. If they want to push auto technology, they need to be going in the same direction as the industry. This of course means all electric eventually. Heck, they probably should do it now but a lot of F1 is the sound. It would be a good way to explore the extremes though.
