That is the shiniest object I have ever seen.

At the risk of showing my ignorance - is this a new concept from Jag, or is this evidence of someone's astonishing digital illustration skills?

If Jag built this car - don't change a thing - and it had 475hp/400ft/lb, weighed 3k#, and was say, under $90k they'd sell. Cut corners and do a turbocharged inline six that resembled the iconic Jag XK motor in the low 300s and sell it for premium Mustang money. I'd buy one.

IIRC it is a car that is being built by a small manufacturer.

Didn't Top Gear UK do a feature on something like this?

bravenrace

"BREMBLENS, Switzerland — Designed in Switzerland and built in Britain, the new Lyonheart K fashions itself as a "modern interpretation" of the classic Jaguar E-Type — for a cool $655,000, before taxes.

The retro-styled coupe was created Robert Palm, founder and CEO of Classic Factory, a relatively new automotive, marine and industrial design house established in 2009 and located just west of Lausanne.

Palm set up a new company, Lyonheart Cars, in Coventry, England, to build a limited run of his hand-built coupes, which will feature a modern carbon-fiber body on an aluminum chassis, with such authentic details as a front-hinged clamshell hood. The interior will be crafted and trimmed in leather, veneer, polished stainless steel, brushed aluminum and chromed metal.

Power will be supplied by a 544-horsepower supercharged 5.0-liter V8 (presumably purchased from Jaguar). Palm says the Lyonheart K will weigh around 3,500 pounds, will sprint from zero to 60 in less than 4.0 seconds and will reach an electronically governed top speed of 186 mph.

Palm is taking orders for a limited run of 50 cars. He hasn't specified when production will actually start, but is quoting a delivery time of 18 months."

The car featured on Top Gear was the Eagle E-Type Speedster. The car is really nice in person. Expensive, too.

I'd like it more if they lost the side vents behind the front wheels and got rid of the excess "chin".

Can't afford it regardless of the price, so my bitching counts for nothing.
