Alright, so the list of cars to test drive to see how I like are: (lists are suprisingly annoying to try making with this new forum.

*Saab 900/9-3 (9000 maybe) Gotta be manual,
*Nissan Maxima (Altima maybe),
*Whatever Accord I can find for the price,
*Subie 2.5RS,
*Boring ole Camry (probably what I should get,
*Civic (expensive for what you get?, a little on the smaller side too),

*Celica (similar size to Civic, but alot cheaper)

At the risk of looking dumb, what's a P5? I can't think of it for the life of me.

If you drive any or all of those, I bet you end up with the Maxima

If you take the appliance route here is another thought. Look into a '06 Ford Fusion with a 4 cyl and a 5 speed manual. The same engine as a Mazda3 and Mazda6 but you can buy the Fusion cheaper than either of the other two.

The Fusion suffers from big depreciation because soooo many of them have been flodded into the used car market as ex-rental cars. It is because of the whole rental car thing that you would need to buy one with manual trans. This will insure that the one you buy was not a rental (which come in automatic only.)

I assure you that you can find an '06 with less than 40k miles for under $10k. To mee that is a pretty good deal and typically cheaper than a Mazda3 or Mazda6 of the same vintage.
