Gotta work the 18th, unless I can figure out a way to blow a knee out again.
Shoot, how did I miss this thread? I'll keep an eye on it now. I'm up for the 18th but in Lima I'll have to stay dry or find a hotel room, that's a rough drive back after a few!! I haven't met any of you miscreants. Sad that I know the New Jersey contingent better than the Ohio contingent.

As usual, I will attend. I see no conflict at this time.
If the date does change, I can not make it on Sat 25th. Sunday 26th is open.

What time are you done Will
Done with work that day? I will leave for work about 2 pm Saturday, and get home around 3:30 Sunday morning.

I'll keep my eyes open, Jacques. You seem to find more deals that I do though...

Sweet Jesus yes. Totally emailed, though I did offer him a bit less.

I'm in Columbus but have a fun project if you can put up with an automatic. 1992 LS400, runs great, has been maintained well mechanically but has a few bumps and bruises including a cracked windshield and dead battery. I was going to ask closer to $1000 including the extra set of winter tires and wheels but for a GRMer could probably go $500. I am selling my old house so losing some storage, I was going to use it as a drivetrain donor.

Was hoping for a manual but I'm Intrigued, any pictures?
If Will passes I might be interested also, definitely want pics and a couple of questions
Is there any rust?
What doesn't work?
Clear title?
Interior condition?
I found this about the LS400

I'll be stopping by my old house tonight, that's where the car is, and I'll take some pictures. It's got a "rebuilt salvage" title, meaning it was wrecked at one point but was repaired and inspected. That happened prior to my ownership, so I don't know when it happened or how badly it was damaged. My guess is that it's due to the damage that's on there now (dent behind the rear passenger door and in the passenger front fender) and that it happened late in the cars life, as it drives so solid and straight and true that it's not plausible that it had a major hit and was rebuilt. There aren't even any rattles in this thing, it's a tank. The interior is in decent shape, the driver's seat shows some wear but otherwise it's nice. The paint is good. The windshield is cracked. The rearview mirror is an LCD unit and it's clear sometimes and dark other times, not corresponding to any change in ambient light. The climate control works but the screen is dark - a common failing. Fixing it is $150 in parts so I didn't bother. The radio works but the CD changer probably doesn't. The gauges all work but the needle tips are dark on a couple of them. (Common failing - they're actually little EL needles with an inverter and everything. The EL coating cracks on the back side, can be fixed with conductive paint but why bother when the gauge is still readable?) No rust. LS400s aren't really prone to it, thankfully. Leaks a tiny bit of power steering fluid from time to time.
It's a solid driver, powerful and smooth, after replacing the battery I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Lemme take some pics and send 'em out tonight.
I paid $500 for it years ago with a broken timing belt (non-interference motor), did the timing belt, water pump, wires, plugs, etc with original Toyota parts. My wife drove it for years as her daily driver. Replaced the alternator recently. The dying battery was the only trouble we've ever had with it - aside from the initial broken timing belt, of course.
I want to keep it but 5 cars is too many to park at the new house.
Definitely interested, I'll be free monday and wednesday all day next week. As well as tuesday after 3.

Yes yes, a true pro like yourself can show us amateurs up any time. But I live in the city so I have to keep it (relatively) light. Hehheheh..
PubBurgers, I'll get those pics for you and if you wanna check it out, any time next week works for me. It would be great for it to go to a GRMer. Especially if you end up doing fun stuff to it.

If everyone else falls through, I may be down. I've ne'er owned a Lexus.
On another note, who owns the celica in bowling green with the rallye graphics. Looks pretty good actually.
Okay, so I forgot I did not have the keys to the car with me at work so I couldn't take good interior photos. Well, they're still better than most Craiglist ads but they're through the windows. Ignore the wheels and flat tire, as I'll swap them for the original wheels and also could throw in the winter set. The original wheels are in good shape but the tires are old. Check it:
Lemme know what you think. It's not perfect but it's a lot nicer than most $500 cars. I spent more than that on the timing belt kit!!
