I made a number of "corn field road" passes today. While doing it I felt irresponsible and thought the right thing to do was "take it to the track."
My track experience was very similar to idling in line at a McD's drive-thru just to the have them be out of what you want to order once you get up there.
Yes, back to the corn field roads!

If you really wanted a night filled with passes, you drive the 3 hrs to Muncie, IN on a Wed or Fri. $20 WILL net you at least 15 passes on a very sticky track. 
Muncie is 1/8 though right? I was there when Wheatley was tuning his EVO and some of the cars were really eating up that track.

I miss dragway 42. Hope they get it done sometime. Used to get lots of runs in on test nights. Never run at norwalk but heard of the crowds, and blew up at thompson back in the day and don't have it in me to go back. I fear my drag testing is gainesville or my driveway unless i can find somewhere safe to test launches.
Due to last night's inactivity, there was lots of time to stand around and talk to other car owners. Much of the chatter was about Dragway 42 being closed for construction. I think much of Norwlak's congestion was due to Drag 42 being closed. These were guys from Medina, Brunswick, etc.
plug changed, no change in asstacular running. suspect carb as it's old as dirt and has not been touched for years, sit a lot, probably needs rebuilt etc. putting the one back on that came with the engine donor. so as of right now i'm not even in running condition.
Muncie runs quarter mile. They have a few 1/8th mile events though.
Welp, leave it to me to snap one of the retaining clips on the LF shock. Now it's loose and clunking, so I do not trust it for autocross. I'll still be there tomorrow, just not driving. 
We can make the Q45 a 2 driver car!
I'm serious. I need to break this car here with 2 weeks remaining to fix it rather than break it 1,000 miles from home.
