I may be going with an oil filter relocation kit on my volvo engine... I plan on using the factory oil cooler plate also.

I read someone mentioned that it could result in a pretty bad pressure drop due to restriction...

is this anything really to worry about it? my hose run would only be a foot at most...

just wanting to ask before I screw myself lol.

It should be fine. I ran a remote filter with a wet sump on my Turner race car for years without a problem. Any pressure drop would be neglible even with a much longer run.

I would also suggest locktite on the threaded parts and some safety wire. "I've heard" horror stories.

I run a dual remote oil filter on the 5.7 Chevy in my boat. Even at 5K rpms I have never notices a pressure drop. Those filters are two feet away from the engine.

this is what I expected... thanks guys... so how long should I expect rubber hose to last? aka how long before I need to upgrade it to stainless braided hose
