Glad you got it fixed. This sounds like a perfect situation for a brazed washer/fitting/adapter. Does anyone use brazing anymore?? Rog

I do. I also solder things. I was actually thinking of using solder instead of the JB weld to tin the area where I welded just to make sure there were no spider cracks in the welding. But I was tired and wanted it done with so I took the easy way out with the JB weld.
