What cars have high oil capacity vs their displacement?
I know Alfa 2.5 V6 has a 7.4l capacity and a Spider 2000 has a 7l oil capacity. Just wondering for a possible endurance style project.

I should have limited it to water cooled gasoline engines...
I'd be nice if said engines came in a competent chassis as well - hmmm... Alfa seems good there.
5.9 Cummins in a 96 Dodge Ram takes 3 gallons (12 quarts).
7.3 Powerstroke in a 2002 F250 takes 4 gallons (16 quarts).
The first time I did an oil change on a tractor (International 986), I was expecting 5 quarts like a regular car. I was 15 at the time, so what did I know. As far as I knew, all engines took 5 quarts. Something like 9 gallons drained out. I made an awful mess.
don't the old LT5 powered ZR1 corvettes hold 12 quarts of oil?
that's almost the same ratio as the 2.2 in my Cavalier that holds 5 quarts..

I'm pretty sure almost a quart is in that obnoxiously huge oil filter.

it's all a part of the oil capacity... i run a filter almost as big on my Camaro and pickup..
The Audi 2.7 BiTurbo held a lot of oil, but I've forgotten everything to do with maintenance with that car to keep my blood pressure down.
BMW M50 and M52 I-6s came in a 2 liter displacement configuration (not in the US) and hold 7 quarts of oil.
