We are glad to help support our favorite forum and magazine.
I'll tell you what, I will upload a special Only At GRM song here. Tell me which one you guys would like to hear:
1 Our cover of White Rabbit. It's not 2 minutes any longer, and it's much heavier
2. Stargrave : This is more of a power ballad but one with heavy downtuned guitars and piano with vocals.
3. Supermassive: this is a 7 minute instrumental that pretty much showcases what we can do instrumentally.
4. Starhenge: this is pretty rough and .....kind of indescribable. It has 2 basses, an organ, synth work and drums. It is literally me directing the band to play and is the very first time it's ever been played.
I do want to stress though......these are rough recordings. The sound quality isn't great, you'll hear a few mistakes and the vocals are literally being sung for the first or second time.
I wish I had other stuff to show you guys at this time and I'm sorry it's taken so long. The drummer you will hear in this recording had to bow out for terrible personal reasons and I've gone thru 2 other drummers after that that have ended up not working out. Obviously COVID is hurting my ability to try out drummers right now too

I would be happy with #3, but #4 sounds intriguing!
As a creative artist I know we focus on our mistakes, but the appreciative audience is just getting off on it. Don't worry - most won't notice, and the people who do will know what you were going for!
I like the sound of #1
count me in for anything, but #1 sounds cool and #4 sounds totally mental and I love it.

You are right, I think a lot of it is because people heavily polish music nowdays.....and this is just a simple recorder in the middle of the room with no mixing or anything.
I should have mentioned as well that #4 Starhenge is pretty heavy too
