Okay lovers of Japanese engines, Datsun 510 engine, single Weber DCOE-40 jetting/chokes for T-Bucket at 4000' elevation?
Manual trans. Engine is believed to be stock except for the Weber upgrade.

Belongs to a neighbor who really likes it, when he can get it to run.
Bought in San Diego so probably tuned for sea level if ever tuned at all.
I will get the current jetting, chokes, and Venturi info soon.

A single 40DCOE on a four cylinder engine is going to be ... challenging. The trouble is, the DCOE's are meant to be used in one barrel/cylinder applications and getting them to work here is going to hard. If it has a crossover manifold, I forget who made those since it's been over 35 years for me, that'll make it easier but no slam dunk.
Is it a 1.6l, 1.8l or 2.0l? That'll make a big difference too.

I use a single Weber on a Spitfire with no issues.
One of the first things I need to confirm is engine size.
Datsun is Japanese so I have no clue for how to identity which it may be.
Probably some numbers somewhere on the block?
I will check the current Weber setup as a baseline.
Can take and post a pic of the car if there is interest.
I'll sneak out to the garage today to grab picture of the engine code location on my L16.
Scratch that, mine is covered in grime and I'm lazy... The block code is on the passenger side, above the starter. Should be L16, L18 or L20. Also grab the head code too, it's on the passenger side.
With those in hand, I'd hit up the Datsun FB group, or if the Ratsun forum is still active - give them a shot.

I second this. Definitely grab the head code. If that's an L20 with a SSS peanut head, it's going to flow way more air than the stock L16 head would
