Absolutely! I drove my Dodge as a stock, flat head six with 6v electrics for years. Got T-Boned by an old man that ran a light so I put my '52 body on a 1987 3/4 ton Dodge frame.

Cool old truck looks, 12 volts, real world usable power and HEAT.

Here is my dad's '46 Chevy. The original owner ordered it in 1939, but it wasn't built until 1947 as a '46 model. Photobucket
