John Morton was the real deal!

Yea he was, this is my first time watching it and I'm utterly amazed that BRE/John Morton/Datsun took them down with 2 cars versus the multiples of Alfa's, BMW's, etc.

They even came to the season late. They missed the first two races of the season IIRC, and they still won.

It's too bad Kwech's team cheated. It would have been an epic battle down to the wire if they hadn't been carrying too much fuel at the last race.

Yea, as long as I've been into Datsuns, I've never seen that before. I love old school racing like that, and how there were no electronics. Everything was up to the driver and his team.

That was excellent. The final bit of footage at Laguna Seca was especially awesome.

Also loved the old Datsun "propaganda" scattered throughout .

I read the book (The Stainless Steel Carrot). I have watched this before. I watched it again. I can watch it over and over. I read an old R&T article I have saved somewhere. I might watch it later again this week.
