Wonder if it is a total? you have to reach 70 percent of the value of the car with my insurance to be a total. You think 700K would get it fixed? I think so.
No sympathy here either... I wish i had one. He probably couldn't figure out it had Bluetooth and had the car as a "Status Symbol" rathar than what an engineering marvel it is. Also like how he added the "Low Flying Pelican Clause" too...
First, it shouldn't have bluetooth because you shouldn't be on the phone, you should enjoy it. (Then again, he is probably a workaholic which is why he can afford one).
This quote made me sick, though:
local news affiliate KHOU reported the 1,000+ hp engine "gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died."
From the Autoblog article.

I saw that and wondered how someone that stupid could afford a car like that. Then I figured the guy is probably in way over his head on the car and concocted this scheme to total the car and get the cash. When the marsh wasn't as deep as he thought it was, he let the engine keep running so he was sure to get water inside it and be positive that it would need an all new engine to drive up the cost of repair and make sure it's totaled.

+1. Its fast... but not fast enough to outrun ugly.
I love how he blamed not only his dropped cell phone but also (I guess simultaneously) a "low flying pelican"!!! ROTFLMAO
That's a serious double-threat ya'll. I guess you could say triple if you count this guy's own brain.
Didn't one of Bugatti's rivals in the 20s and 30s use a pelican as its hood ornament? Was it Hispano-Suiza?
