One project at a time.
That's my new rule, right?
One project at a time.
Why is it that once I set out to do that one project thing a unicorn walks up and drops a golden E36 M3 next to me?
A decision is made to go all in on the RX8, I even sell the Fairmonster and all the bits to ensure I don't get overly distracted. I have decided to keep the rotary in it until the NC parts car is sourced, engine built, harness modified and all questions answered.
And then unicorns.
My good friend Joel (Joey48442) mentioned he might consider thinning his herd by one NA Miata. A car that would never be sold. A car that has been both genuinely loved and neglected for a very long time and an unbelievably great Weapon of Math Deduction.
So besides my little Atlanta run I will not be looking for any parts for the engine swap in case Weezer does actually end up on the market.
I wonder how hard it would be to install the RX8 engine in it...

I know what you mean...cars and women, the minute you make a commitment to one, some "where have you been all my life besides my fantasies" tempting stuff seems to come out of the woodwork begging for attention. So far, serial monogamy has worked best for the cars.
I know right? I just committed to (finally) finishing my basement which I have been promising to do for the last ... 8 years.
Then, a fleet of practically unused dirt bikes that have been sitting in a neighbor who moved to FL and just sold house's garage for 15 years jumped into my truck and demanded I take them home.
I guess I'll start the basement once they are all in good running condition and ready to be sold in the spring.
Just one more car, baby. I promise.
Yep. I'm 45 minutes away from picking up my second impulse car buy of the month (using the first impulse buy to tow it...), and we aren't even halfway through the month yet, hah.
Yay, the daily driver and tow rig are up to date on maintenance, time to buckle down and just work on the rally car- oh look, a rare MZ Mastiff for a good price! MR2s, Miatas, RX7s, RVs, trucks! What the berkeley!
Duster was supposed to be finished before any more projects, then the garage overhaul. Im still working on the duster, while restoring an nb miata, and building a maximum effort challenge car.
Oh, and i still have house projects that are half finished.
I need help.

This thread summarize my automotive project problems. I also blame craigs list.
I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

Calmer heads have prevailed. Kelly will be driving the RX8 after the 2002 Silverado 5.3LS/4L60e is swapped in and I can have the Miata IF it becomes available. Oops, yes that means I bought an $800 parts truck for the RX8.
Gotta go clean out the garage.
