Potentially dumb question....how is the "raw time" in a OLOA time trial calculated?

Here's results from NCM this year...I see the morning TT the fastest car had a time of 7:04.589.  What is that number derived from - out/flyer/in lap or something else?

A session of OLoA is a standing start and then 3 laps.  Cross the finish line at your best speed and then basically have a cool down lap to get back to the pits.  

All 3 laps count.  There is no throw out.  

In 7:04.589 that car went around NCM track 3 times from a single standing start.  

Here's a link to a random video of an NSX running a NCM lap at 2:27.22 or simplified to just under 2.5 minutes per lap.  Three laps would then be a simplified just under 7.5 minutes and that doesn't take in account for the standing start.  The Onelapper ran the 3 laps in nearly half a minute faster.

No.  Out lap and in lap do not count.  The out lap is just warm-up and terminates at the S/F line where you come to a complete stop and stage, then...

Standing start and three flyers all count.  On most tracks, that first lap is about five seconds-ish slower than the next two.  So if you want a rough guess as to each lap time, subtract five seconds and then divide by three.

So that 7:05 is approx a set of three 2:33's...which is really slow in the dry, but it was pouring down rain for that session

For reference, my CRX in that config (big motor + aero + 225 A052) is about a 2:12-13 dry lap

Okay, so perhaps I misunderstood upthread.

Everybody gets a warmup lap, then comes to a stop at the start/finish line where they begin three flying laps from a standing stop and timing is from start until crossing the S/F line at the end of the third lap.
