Ok, i have put the Jetta up for sale as I am trying to finish up the Eurovan. The plan is to make the Eurovan my daily driver and take whatever cash i can get for the Jetta and throw it in the bank.
Got a text over the weekend from a buddy of mine, says he has a friend looking for a Mk4 Jetta. I said continue. He says his buddy has a G60 Corrado he wants to trade for it...
Its got me thinking. I like Corrados, especially the VR6 Corrados. From what i have researched, the superchargers fail and parts cost a pretty penny. This kid's Corrado has a recent rebuild of the Supercharger, coilovers, wheels, overall a clean looking car.
Just need opinions of those who have experience with these Corrados.

Money in the bank is better imo
Sell the jetta. Don't even think for a minute about trading it for a G60 Corrado. The superchargers are extremely fragile and that motor is very fickle to tune and get running.
The Corrado itself has several known issues and parts are expensive (rear wing, seat belts, sunroof, then all the other early '90's VW electrical issues).
You might as well give your jetta away with several thousand dollars...

Yep. Get that van finished and hold onto the money for something a bit more worthwhile.
(I need to follow my own advice more often.)
I'll be the dissenting vote.
On a straight trade, i would absolutely do that.

IMHO, it would depend on the intended use of the Corrado. If a w/e run car, I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. For a DD, notsomuch.
Of course, I'm like Powar...
Not planning it for a daily. Planning on getting the trans in this weekend on the van so i can get it tagged. The van would be the daily since i dont have to worry about putting 93oct everytime, 87 all day long!
The Corrado would be a continuation of barter trades that have been happening this year that started with a $600 Passat Wagon - previously Slefains'...
Love me some G60. Hate working on them. Still love the cars. Some one shoot me. Cause i need another hole in my head.
