Mine showed up today (finally)
Random and maybe inappropriate gripe:
There seems to be a trend toward articles with very high-level/general information about a given model vs. articles that deal with buying and building cars on the cheap - this issue was the worst offender in awhile: lots of very high-level content about a wide range of cars. It's getting a lot like like reading a print version of Edmunds.com.
I remember awhile back there was an article about buying a Miata off a dealer's lot, doing basic maintenance and then track testing a cheap suspension/wheel/tire setup. More of that please.
GRM is still the best out there, and I don't mean for this to come off as overly harsh. It seems, though, that many of the things that originally drew me to this mag 10+ years ago are getting squeezed out.

I hear ya, but try not to think of it as stuff getting squeezed out. It's really more of a case of stuff getting squeezed in. The reality is that each issue has a finite number of pages, and we try and keep the "theme" of each issue on track as best we can. If you noticed a type of story conspicuously absent, chances are we did, too, and will be making it up in a subsequent issue. At any given time we try to have a "bank" of ready-to-run stories that are not time-constrained on the shelf. If you want to see the stuff you're missing early, hack in to my home computer sometime. Or you could just wait an issue or two. I prefer the latter. I'd hate to find all my good goat porn missing someday.
