Spent the morning at the junk yard pulling parts for the Celica. Got a new front bumper- the old one is bent. I'd like to paint the bumper cover black. They're painted originally, but with a black stripe left down the middle that is the base material (urethane?)

If I just clean it up, sand the painted area and shoot it with some satin black Rustoleum, will it hold up? Or do I need to get some kind of special paint for bumper covers?

Thanks.

Ed

VHT hood and bumper paint- http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/hoodbumpertrimpaint/

I've used it on my bumper and will do the hood when I get a chance. It's the perfect matte sheen IMO.
