Any advice on painting hard rubber and a bumper cover? I plan to paint a bumper cover and it has some black rubber over riders/bumperettes that bolt on to it. I’d like to paint the whole thing one color and in one pass but I’m worried about the paint falling off. It’s very similar to the black rubber MGB bumper material. I’ve only ever painted metal.
What do you want to paint it - body color or black?
I've used SEM products with very good results in the past when painting black bumpers - in my case a Volvo 740. 3 years later now and still looks quite good.
Body color. Guards Red.
You can paint the rubber parts any color you want but even with a "flex additive" the paint may crack or peel if hit, dented, or bent.
