Is there any way to find a complete list of all car ever entered into the Challenge series?
I found lists for 2006, 2007, and 2008 but don't know where to find lists for earlier years.
Trying to come up with an original challenge entry.

Didn't someone once do a Challenge spreadsheet complete with colors and engine manufacturer and it came down that a Yellow Small Block Chevy powered RX7 was the best bet to win...
I think it was two boards ago, so the info is likely lost.
For those that have the info I would like and I will put it on a spreadsheet for all.:
YEAR . MAKE . MODEL . ENGINE . TRANSMISSION . COLOR . ET . MPH . FINISHING POSITION DRAG . FINISHING POSITION AUTOCROSS . FINISHING POSITION OVERALL
I'm not really looking for the info to know most likely to win but what cars have not been to the challenge.
you could just order the back issues that have the challange in and read thought them...can not be that much money.

Right, but having the rest of the information will help you as well... because you could pick a car NOT on the list... right?

They are sold out.
This would be a good time to ask GRM to post that info.
The I can tell you no X19 has made it.
Don't think any such list would be of much help.
All of the "official" lists included several entrants who made attempts to hide what they were bringing by calling it something unusual, or people brought a back-up car instead of the car they had registered.
I'll bet there were 5-10 "errors" on the official lists each year.
The back issues would be much more helpful.
GRM: why don't you offer them as a set??

My spelling and gamer are not that good. But see the posting b4 this one

I've wondered why this hasn't happened.
While not exactly the ideal swap, but a 2.2 Turbo in that small hole would be a very cheap rocket.
Or a whole host of FWD products that can make mucho power.

They used to here:

Perhaps it turned into a "west-coast-challenge" type situation.
Poopy, if by that "west coast challenge situation" comment you meant that there was lots of loud protesting on the board about the need for such a thing, then a lack of response when we actually worked to offer that thing, then yeah, you're probably spot on.
Only a slight threadjack, I'm the recent purchaser of the Chevonda, a 2005 and 2007 veteran. I'm just curious to know the full history on the car. I find the 2007 results easily enough but the 2005 results are nowhere to be found. Does anyone have them or know where to find them? Thanks!!
i believe i've copied the results from each challenge as they've been posted on the GRM website for every year I've been involved, ie 2002 - present. might take a little digging to come up with them. i've also got every challenge issue since the $1500 (1999) around here somewhere. again, would take some digging.
I've read most of them in the past, but I thought it'd be fun to have the old Challenge issues to refer to. I must admit, I was guilty of reading them at the newsstand without paying for them back in my college days. I just ordered all of them that I don't have except for June 2002...it's sold out. Does anybody have an issue from June 2002 that they'd be interested in parting with? It sure would be cool if subscribers could refer to old issues online!

Yeah! Make Magazine has a program where you sign up as a "premiere Maker" and get access to all past issues online. Now, they have two advantages: (1) they are a tech magazine so they've got a lot of know-how, and (2) they have about 10 issues total, having started as a quarterly magazine just over a couple years ago.
But it's a neat idea if you guys have hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to kill. ;-)
My question about how the Chevonda fared in the 2005 challenge was answered by Eastsidemav in email; thanks! (exhibition only due to accounting problems but would've been ~22nd)
