As I have been running new water pipes in pex piping. I was wondering if I could use it to plumb my shop as air line?

I don't think they are supposed to be able to handle the pressure you'll get in an airline.

Nope. PEX also doesn't like daylight. There is a special kind that can go underground, but the regular stuff can't.

I've done a fair bit of research on this, and I'll probably end up going with Rapidair, it's essentially PEX tubing for compressed air.

I do love some pex but not for shop air.
