Link by chance?  I've seen a couple on FB Marketplace in the low teens, but none below $10K.

It's on the ACV auction app.  It's a dealer only thing. 

I am seriously considering picking it up.  That would ruin my plan but the car looks like a good deal.

agreed.  $9600 might be too good of a deal to pass up.  Many fewer transactions needed to make that up.

If you can find a driver's side fog light for a 944 turbo (951) same as on my 944 S2 for cheap, buy it.  I will help you turn a profit on it.  They are rare and expensive.  Cheapest new is $250 and I may end up going that route.  If you find sets buy them and you will make good money on them.

Seriously! I paid $7,000 for a 2000 Boxster S with high miles and no options and immediately dropped $3,000 on control arms, struts, endlinks, and tires. I'd jump on a $9,600 Cayman S with no hesitation! 

I thought the idea was to TRADE each item for another item of increasing value with no actual cash involved.

I passed on the Cayman.  It would not have worked with my plan, not to mention I really don't want to spend 10k out of my pocket at the moment.  On top of that I really want a 2009 because it doesn't have the IMS or oil starvation issues the earlier ones have.

Those 987.2s are hard to find and pull a premium, as I'm sure you know.  

Yes, but I figured I should try to get what I want, this is a car I can see myself keeping for awhile. 

I am thinking a 2009 non s will do quite nicely.

At the auction the price difference is not that significant, it's just a matter of finding one.  The production numbers were quite a bit less for the 987.2's vs the originals.

I’d be happy to offer you a big snowblower in trade for the roll bar extension, and since it’s the middle of January, that should work in your favor, unless you live someplace ridiculous like Jacksonville Florida. 

It was 71 degrees today.  A snow blower is about as useful to me as a plow.   

If you are looking for a roll bar extension I can make you a deal, I need to get this ball rolling.

I've got a square set up (four rears) of OEM E46 M3 wheels that have been refinished and powdercoated.  Style 67s.  Open to an offer that would allow you to make money.  Though shipping from Canada may kill profit.

Got the roll bar ready to ship using a bunch of random boxes I cut up and some publix bags.  No cost in packaging for the win!

In other news I bought the next item to sell.  I am quite pleased with myself and its almost like it was fate.

I was looking on Facebook market place last night and found this ad.

I sent the guy a message expecting it to be sold.  To my surprise it was still available.  He bought a 2015 3 series and doesn't have the space to store this one anymore.  We met up today and I pulled the trigger for $500.00.

The odometer is broken and reads 999999.  He has owned it for 10 years and told me it happened after his alternator went out and it drained the battery down.  He guessed it has around 200k on it.  It has a slight misfire but I would wager it has something to do with the rigged up intake elbow.  

Seemed like a decent dude and he was happy the car went to someone who was mechanically adept enough to mess with it and not complain.

Did I mention it's a 5-speed!

Can't wait to start messing with it tomorrow!
