When I put my '80 Fiat Spider to bed at the end of last season I manged to crack the otherwise perfect rear window. I had left the roof down for a few weeks and the day it was packed away for winter was fairly cold. When I raised the roof for storage the plastic rear window did not like bending and let out a loud crack. It split from side to side. Spring is right around the corner and after procrastinating all winter, it's now definitely time to fix it.
The one upholstery shop i've contacted so far mentioned rear windows being heat sealed in place. The existing window was sewn in. Anyone have any thoughts on sewn in vs heat sealed replacement windows, or any other input on plastic window replacement? I'm assuming there's no way of this getting done without removing the roof.
