This morning as I was backing out of my driveway, I turned the wheel and heard a loud clunk. I've looked everything over, and I don't see anything obviously wrong. I took it out on the road and everything seems alright. It's just when I cut the wheel hard it makes this noise like somebody hitting one of the springs with a hammer. I'm assuming it's a strut problem, but I can't figure it out. It's a 2002 Jetta with about 95k miles on the original parts.

I'm sure somebody on here has dealt with something similar and can offer some advise.

My P71 does it all the time. It's the suspension binding up at full lock when you encounter travel up/down at the same time. Bigger tires (30MM wider than stock) didn't help. Only does it leaving the driveway (or other up/down full-lock situations) and it hasn't broken anything.
