what the hell is it classified as though, I'd put it more of a USV since the utility seems to be more the point than either the sport or the vehicle...

And yet it appears someone in 1993 decided those wheels would look kickass on a Firebird.

I remember seeing the Stinger at the Auto Show that year and gagging then.

1989 was also the year for this concept that I actually liked:

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

that thing certainly is more versatile than it's appearance would imply. the mere sight of it makes me want to gouge my eyes out (worse than the Nissan Urge concept car, or a hot electric pink transport truck, or the sight of a Gremlin, although my dad autoX'd one of those when he was stationed in california in the air force), but if looks aren't what you're after but you have a lot of crap to carry, that might be the concept car for you

Except all the crap is oem to the car didn't look like there was tons of room to add your own crap. Unless you filled it with tons of stuff that was small and would fit in the door compartments. Though vacumm power was not an issue, 2 count em 2 hand vacs woot!!!

I was always amazed at how identical the canopy and other parts so strongly resemble the NSX.

why the hate?
it's practical, small, and depending on what motor it could be a blast to drive too.
Think about the weight savings on those panels (or lack thereof). Figure the toys that would be dropped for production and I wouldn't mind one.

How come no car manufacturer (that I know of) uses an adjustable instrument display? That would be handy in a few cars I have owned over the years.

Don't the 350z gauges tilt up and down with the steering wheel? or are you talking about being able to adjust what you see?
