I saw a red Porsche 959 speedster/convertible on the way home from work today. it had some sweet as hell 5-spokes on it. And it had a fiberglass "speedster" back with two humps in it behind the seats.

Does this exist?

Or was this just someone getting body kit happy with a reglar old 911?

I hope i can find it again with my camera.

Because fake or not, this was a drop dead gorgeous car.

Great story, huh?

It's a kit car. There's also a 359 kit that looks even worse.

There were factory 911 speedsters that were pretty cool

I just came here to post a 964 speedster, but I see someone's beat me to it. I love those things.

the above picture is not a 964 speedster, it is a widebody 1989 speedster. 964 speedsters were AFAIK all narrow body cars

Porsche did make a 959 but none of them were speedsters. Turbo, AWD and not legal for the US without expensive modification.
