I don't know if it says it in that article, but I read the next gen Cayman/Boxster are going to be full EV. The current and previous gen cars are going to see a nice bump in price on the used market.

I'm super excited about the prospect of a Boxster size electric car, especiall if it remains at the Boxster/CAyman price point

There was the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid that has two electric motors up front and a flywheel regen system. Take a few laps to spin up the flywheel, then hit the "go" button to pull power back out of it.

the article i read said they are aiming for 3650lbs, 250 mile range, and awd as an option for the next gen 718. which i assume they will use as a test bed for the 911.
