You need to maybe setup a sponsorship effort through Facebook, Jalopnik, here, I know the money is big to run Newfoundland, but 2 years ago this board raised funds to bring Nascho to the challenge on the east coast and IIRC that was over $1000. I'm not saying that'll even get you close, looks like 2011 has almost a $6000 entrance fee. Once you tack on travel, food, race gas, tires, spares, etc... Still, I think you should, it'd be one helluva accomplishment...

Im planning on 10k + to make it happen. Not sure where it will come from yet. Right now Im on a self imposed "year without cars" so next year this time I'll start the rebuild and prep and figure out where the funding is coming from. This crazy little car has done so much already I just want to keep pushing the adventure envelope with her. Doing no car stuff for the next year at least gives me planning time (if Im not in the garage it doesnt count as car stuff right?)

Our '09 car is a testbed for seeing how much boost and nitrous D-series blocks can handle. So far, we've seen that stock rods don't like 25 psi, and 200K-mile bottom ends don't like nitrous.

You know I'm in for that...Whenever you are ready, you just let me know, and MTR will be there.

You know my current deal so work isn't starting on this one any time soon. I just figure she needs one more big adventure so that may be the next goal. Just shooting for a Grand Touring entry, not a full on Targa obviously.

just fired up the eruption rx 7 last night at about midnight , it is fun to scare the bar patrons next door . besides that its in front of the shop for advertisement

ran the 08 e30 this weekend at CMP. i'm working on making it a better autocrosser and track car, but trying my best to keep it challenge friendly should the fiat be a bust again this year!
