With PDK showing that a shifter is no longer required to get everything great out of a car, the writing is on the wall with our beloved stick shift.
Before it goes, lets show off some of our favorite knobs and shifters we love to grab, yank, push, and shove.
Show us your knobs boys. The ones you love, hate or just say WTF?
Mk2 MR2... The car I learned to drive a stick with
1994 Ford Ranger, I loved that thing.
I can't. The wife won't let me take pictures of them.
Pretty hard to beat the Hurst Competition Plus I have in my '61 Bonneville.
Don't have one myself...
But I want one. Just because VW.
stock NA miata. barchetta shorty console. although I prefer a polished shift lever.

I've had the same homemade 8 ball knob (a real #8 pool ball) in 3 different cars now.
There was however, something especially fun about this vague floppy one, standing on the offset clutch pedal and shifting when the engine quit pulling around 6500rpm.
Simple 340g weighted shift knob in my 951S perched on my home made short shifter.
5-speed dogleg "Ferrari" shift knob on my 79 924. Love the fact that I was able to find a good feeling knob that had the proper shift pattern on it.

I'm partial to the rubbery Kamei one, myself.
This remote shifter had an awesome feel to it. The rest of the car was not so awesome.
I had a soft spot for this Nismo shift knob I had in my 240sx.
Deja Vu

At least the titles prove we're all in the right place. I feel welcome here...
