Tried to drive it this morning since it was going to be 66F supposedly, it was deader than a doornail. About 5 years old, hadn't started it in a month. I was not surprised at all....
Might as well wait till spring now (Ohio and all), maybe save my pennies for one of those fancy lightweight batteries?
put it on a low low power trickle charge overnight? Saved a few that way.
Just push start the berkeleyer, it's not like it's heavy
If you never have to push your Fiat, do you even really own a Fiat?
Give it a good wack and trickle charge, should fire back up.
I'd probably just jump start the Fiat and take it for a bit of a flog on the hyw.
Hopefully that "one" you're thinking of pouring out isn't the sulfuric acid from the battery. :)

So you think a 5 year old battery is save able?
I have a jump pack, but was concerned if the battery was truly dead it might die on the highway or something.
I put a "Tony fixed it" vinyl on the back window and would look pretty silly sitting in the median.
In reply to Jerry :
You don't want to use a jump pack, you want a slooooooow trickle charge to bring it back to life.
I just had the battery in the BMW replaced a few months ago.
It was the original and just more than 5 years old. Since we were coming into the cold months I decided I'd rather go ahead and replace it, then walk out from dinner, or grocery shopping, or *insert similarly inconvenient scenario* and have the car not start.

This is how barn finds start
We've had good luck bringing batteries back from the dead with CTEK's chargers:
CTEK Power
I have been considering putting a lightweight odyssey battery in mine, just concerned about any codes the radio might need.

I have some way older than 5 years that still work fine. Just put it on a charger and either keep it charged or drive it more often.

And I envisioned my Abarth covered in an inch of dust and an online post saying it was a one-owner car left in a garage for 20 years!
ran when parked?
That is one of the reasons I hardwired a connector onto the battery cables to allow solar trickle charging. I generally do not drive my Abarth in bad weather unless I have to, which means it sits most of the winter. I also did the same for the Rover as it tends to sit during the summer
