PRI 2012

It's that time of year again. Who is going? I'll be there, booth 5723 - Mechanical Simulation.

This is the first time in years I won't be able to make it. It is also sad that it is the last year it is in Orlando. Big blow to the Orlando area and it's just icing on the cake to our local gearhead scene.

Well, considering that it was in Indianappolis prior to Orlando, it's not that big of a blow.

Any idea where it's moving? I almost went of an employee of a friend of mine...

PRI and IMIS have merged. Both were bought by SEMA. It will be in Indy next year, as others have said.

It seems to be the year of Motorsports mergers.

I know it was supposed to be temporary, but from what I've heard the past few years at the show is that the success of it in Orlando was going to possibly make it the permanent home for the show. New owners, different views...stinks!

The one good thing I can say about the merger - we had been thinking about going to both PRI and IMIS next year, but their timing makes it seriously awkward to hit both.

I went to the indoor electric one last year and it sucked.

Anyone going the opening breakfast tomorrow? I'm trying to avoid coworkers... :)

Tim, Joe, David and Gary are at the show today through Saturday manning the GRM/CMS booth (number 1115) and scoping out stories.
