I've been daily driving my Miata for 2 years now and I'm over it. I love the car but this isn't its correct use and I have another race car. Something has to give.
Need a price check from the GRM hive mind. Does $2,500 for the Miata sound fair?
143k miles. Just had the timing belt done.
Clutch replaced with Exedy Stg1 at 125k new slave cylinder too
Brakes done in 2011 - StopTech pads, Carquest rotors.
Flyin'Miata VMAXX coilovers,
Flyin'Miata FSB,
white hardtop w/no cracks,
custom welded in roll bar (passes Hillclimb tech with no questions asked).
Three sets of rims and tires for AutoX (Toyo R1Rs) Winter and a mixed set.
Cons: Exhaust is rattly. Replacement driver's side door has some paint flaws. Has a bit of a gay vibe.
As you can see, the internals are clean as a whistle.
Does not come with shark tooth vinyl.
Am I asking too much? too little?
$1,000 would be down payment on a new car and the rest would get piled into the RX7.
I'd say that's a great deal. The hardtop alone makes it worth at least 2500, looks clean, wish it was nearer when i was looking.

I'm glad you're not closer.
I'd pay you that much for it, and I am local.

Jesus, another local rotory guy!
Yeah, the shell is VERY nice. When I bought it I took the front fender liners out, cleaned everything up and undercoated.
When I got the alignment done I had them pull the bolts out and sandblast them too so they work nice. Some of the bolts on the suspension have gotten a bit crusty over the past 17 years.
Dave, where the hell have you been? I have traded emails with you when you lived in NH about buying tires from you. I have been on here a long time, and am a well documented rotorhead.
If you were local/in Canada - I'd be sending you the money right now. Great price, at least for this area.

Yeah, I would ask more than that. Maybe $3k to $3500, to allow some wiggle room. It's worth $2500 without the hardtop.

If you're in Chicago, that is a $4,000 car all day.

At least that much in Minneapolis, if not more.
Yeah, that's a solid $3500 to $4000 car up here with the hardtop as well. Hell, I sold my zillion-mile 1.6 Miata with a busted engine for $2K!
since it's got a hardtop, and all the other stuff + as clean as it is.... start at $3999 .. it should sell somewhere around 3k to $3500 ... especially if you can find some budding "racer", to people that don't know what all that stuff is worth, maybe not so high but still more $2500 ... just on hardtop and milage alone
I have a local racer who is interested in it for hillclimbing. It would be great to keep it in the same racing family and I know he would take great care of it, which matters more to me than getting top dollar.
My worst nightmare would be to sell this to some guy and he ruins it by dropping it to the ground and stretching the tires.
